Important actions to be taken till the 13th day after the death of a person
1. Early activities performed after death

This reduces the likelihood that he (the ancestors ) will cause trouble to the family, as well as that the body will fall under the control of evil forces.
This article gives detailed information about the initial rituals, who should perform the rituals, shaving ritual, preparation of cremation ritual, funeral procession etc.

2. In order to make a tirdi, bamboo is usually cut into two pieces of 6 feet and placed horizontally on the ground. The distance between the two should be generally one and a half feet and they should be tied in bamboo poles. Amber should not be cut anywhere while tying the knots. After placing the remaining amber corpses on each side (side), it should be used to tie the side.

3 AD By the time the funeral procession reached the cemetery, everyone was shouting 'Shri Gurudev Dutt.' This should be chanted.
Should all the leaders in the crematorium perform chanting according to their means or should Datta's chanting be done collectively?
Everyone shouted loudly, Shri Gurudev Dutt. This chanting creates a wide range of emotions in the minds of all and has an immediate effect on the environment, as well as helps in reaping the fruits of Samashti Sadhana and enables everyone to face the sad occasion with courage. Also, other living beings take inspiration from this and start Namasadhana. On the other hand, by chanting in the mind according to one's own means, spirituality is not spread and others do not understand the importance of Samashti Sadhana. By chanting in the mind, the attitude of narrow-mindedness increases and only I chant, the ego is nurtured; Therefore, while doing any karma, one should try to take them with him by giving them a view of the means. - A Scholar (Through Mrs. Anjali Gadgil)
3 A. The funeral procession should be placed halfway down, otherwise when it reaches outside the entrance of the cemetery. The doer should place the ingredients in hand and give two lumps of barley / rice flour. These nodules work even if brought from home. Take water in a pot and add black sesame seeds. Place the lump on the darbha on the right and left side of the body. On the body on the right is 'Shyamaya ayan pinda upatishtatu.' So release the sesame water with the patriarch of the right hand (from the position of the palm between the thumb and forefinger). Then on the body on the left, 'Shablay ayan pinda upatishtatu.' Therefore, sesame water should be released on it as above.
3 o. After that, the back shoulder should be forward and the front shoulder should be back.

Sacrifice every time you say 'Swaha' in the next single mantra and then 'Om'. Not me. ' That is to say.
Fire fire. Agnya Idam Na Mama.
Come on. Kamay id na mama.
Lokay Swaha. Lokay Idam Na Mama.
Allowed. Permitted id no mama.
After that 'om asmadvaitvamajayatha ayan tvadbhijayatam. Asau…. (The name of the dead person should be taken.) Pretaya Swargaya Lokaya Swaha Therefore, ghee should be sacrificed on the chest of the corpse and 'om. (The name of the dead person should be mentioned.) That is to say.

6 AD Preferably leopard smoke should not be applied to your body.

Anyone else should stand behind the doer and make a hole under the neck of the pot with a small stone in the cemetery (this stone is called 'Ashma'). The doer should make the first rotation around the leopard in a counter-clockwise direction by pouring water from the pot. The second one should put the second hole under the first hole in the back pot. After this, the doer should make another round as before. After this, the second one should put the third hole under the second hole. The doer should make the third round as before.
Just as sattvic and natural objects are used for worship,
Similarly, it is necessary to use sattvic objects while lighting the cheetah!
We use natural, sattvic ingredients like ghee, oil, camphor in our worship. We eat fresh food without eating stale, raw or spoiled food. Similarly, since the corpse is also a samidha during cremation, it is inappropriate to use unnatural and non-existent items like 'petrol', 'kerosene', 'diesel' and 'tire' while burning the cheetah. Also, these items are air pollutants.
Those who cannot afford to use sattvic and good quality items should use low quality items, i.e. those who cannot use pure ghee of native cow should use less vegetable ghee. Those who cannot use sesame oil or good quality oil should use low quality palm oil. The purpose of this formula is to explain that it is inappropriate to use unnatural and unnatural objects to ignite a cheetah during a funeral. Therefore, the use of these items should be avoided.
- Mr. Siddhesh Karandikar, Purohit Pathshala, Sanatan Ashram, Ramnathi, Goa. (18.6.2020)
Note - At present, the above action is done immediately after the cheetah is set on fire.
6 a.m. The ashma used by the doer to drill the pot should be brought home safely.
How to bury a child?
The scriptures say that after death, the bodies of children (to be mined) and the bodies of the elderly (to be cremated) should be cremated. The formulas for the funeral of children and the scriptures about them are given below.
1. If the child dies before naming (up to 12th day) mining should be done. (Body evidence.)
2. After the death of a child up to 3 years of age, whether cremated or not, either cremation or mining is done. However, it is more appropriate to bury after death if it is not completed after 2 years, while it is more appropriate to burn after death if it is completed after 2 years. (Ref: Dharmasindhu, pages 608 and 609)
The
science behind burying the body of a child and cremating the body of an adult
1. 'The gross body is concerned with the earth. A child of 2 years old has a thick body. Therefore, it can easily mix with the gross body (earth principle) in the soil (earth principle), that is, the decomposition of the gross body into the five elements is easy. As we age, the inertia of the gross and subtle bodies increases. If the body is buried, it is difficult to decompose in the Panchatattva. His ashes were cremated after death. This ash mixes easily with the soil, which means that the gross body is easily decomposed into five elements.
2. The virtues and vices of the body are attached to the mind of the elderly. If such a body is buried, the penis, which is attached to the gross body, is less likely to be buried there. '
- Vedmurti Ketan Shahane, Teacher, Sanatan Sadhak-Purohit Pathshala, Sanatan Ashram, Ramnathi, Goa. (27.11.2014)
7. Actions to be performed on the same day after cremation

3. Before coming home, Ashma should be kept in the Tulsi-Vrindavana area of the courtyard; But it should not be kept in basil. If there is no Tulshi Vrindavan, Ashma should be kept in a safe place outside the house.
4. Neem leaves should be chewed before entering the house. Then take a darshan of Achman and see the fire, as well as water, gomay, white mustard, etc. by touching the manglik substances with your hands, then slowly enter the house by placing your feet on the stone (will walk on the stone steps of the house).

7 b. If it is not possible to bathe outside according to the scriptures, then the method of conduct

Collect the bones on the day of cremation or on the third, seventh or ninth day after death and immerse them within ten days. It is better to collect the bones on the third day after the funeral. After ten days, if the ossuary is to be exhumed, it should be immersed by pilgrimage.
9. The offering of libations of water to the gods
According to the scriptures, from the first day to the tenth day, Tilanjali, Pindana, as well as odd shraddha should be done every day. If this is not possible, the response should be continued from the ninth day of diagnosis. But nowadays, from the first day to the tenth day, the pindana is done together on the tenth day. On the tenth day, pindana should be offered in the temples of Shiva or junior deities on the banks of rivers or ghats. On the tenth day, after giving the lump, add a little coconut oil on the stone and dissolve it.
10. Actions to be taken on 11th and 12th day
After bathing on the 11th day, make Panchgavya home and sprinkle Panchgavya everywhere. Everyone should do Panchgavya Prashan. The doer should make a resolution for the purpose of the deceased and give Amanna (ration), as well as Dasdane etc. Ekoddishta Shraddha, Vasugana Shraddha and Rudragana Shraddha should be performed outside the house, in the barn or elsewhere.

On the 12th day, Sapindikaran Shraddha should be performed. By performing Sapindikaran Shraddha, the dead soul gets the term 'Pitru' and gets a place in the patriarchal world. In fact, it is advisable to perform 16 monthly shraddhas in that month and to perform sapindikaran shraddha on the day before the year shraddha; But nowadays it is customary to do all this on the 12th day only.
11. Death Shantividhi (Shantodaka)
On the 13th day, Patheya Shraddha should be performed and a peace rite should be performed. Invite everyone and give them a sweet meal. Nowadays this ritual is performed only on the 12th day.
