Lazy Ramu - Story in Marathi with Moral

In one village there was a beautiful bungalow. The owner of that bungalow was rich. He had all the comforts of land, servants and chariots. He used to get up early in the morning and do his own work. He expected all the servants to get up early in the morning with him and do other household chores. All the servants obeyed their master. But one of the servants, Ramu, was very lazy. He was too tired to get up early. He slept until the sun came up over his head. I used to wake up late in the afternoon to work. The owner did not like his nature.

The owner explained to Ramu. But there was no difference in Ramu's temperament. Eventually, the owner decided to teach him a lesson. The owner put a cock in his room while Ramu was sleeping. This cock was his favourite. The owner would wake up in the morning with the sound of his bang. At least the owner thought that Ramu would wake up with the roar of a rooster. But he later realized that this was not the case. The rooster crows in Ramu's room as usual in the morning. Ramu was annoyed by falling asleep much earlier than usual. The hen got angry at him. Suddenly he got up and, in a fit of rage, stabbed the hen with a knife in the room. Hearing the rooster, the owner came running. But by then the cock had died on the spot. The overall type of owner was noticed. The angry boss immediately fired Ramu. With that, Ramu's eyes opened wide. He regretted killing the hen. He began to fall on the owner's hands and feet. But due to the death of the owner's beloved cock, Ramu did not listen at all. Ramu's urgency was palpable. The time for repentance was gone.

Meaning- It is beneficial to exercise restraint while doing any action.
